Port Of Singapore

Singapore known as the Republic of Singapore is an island state just off the southern end of the Malay Peninsula in Asia and is connected to the mainland by a long land bridge. For sailors that arrive in Singapore after a lengthy cruise, this well organized city has its attractions and is a convenient stop to get provisions or services. There are repair facilities in Singapore in three main areas, one at Raffles Marina, and one in both Changi and Keppel Marina. Several new marinas have opened in the proximity of Singapore.

Raffles Marina

Located in Tuas on the west side of the island, Raffles has made Singapore a much more attractive spot. It is located near the Second Link Bridge between Singapore and Malaysia. They offer a free shuttle bus to downtown Singapore. They charge a fee for clearance here, and in the marina you have to use their clearance services.

Sebana Cove

Located on the banks of the Sebana River, which is on the south coast of Malaysia. It is a five star resort with a marina. Some features are Free Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, sauna, gym, golf course, bar and a restaurant.

Keppel Bay Marina

Located on beautiful, Keppel Island which is now attached to the mainland on the south side of Singapore Island. Keppel Bay has some of Singapore's oldest docks. Dating back to the 13th century, Keppel Harbour waterway has been used by ships sailing from the Straits of Malacca to the South China Sea. The Keppel Bay Marina is near the old commercial port of Keppel Harbour, this marina is perfectly placed for ships travelling from Indonesia to Malaysia that just need to stop for provisions or repairs.

One15 Marina

Located on the south side of Sentosa Island, it has a popular resort with plenty of attractions to take in. All features are intended for the yacht market, with over two hundred berths and thirteen mega yacht berths. They have a maintenance yard and the immigration clearance is free here.

Changi Marina

Those on a low budget usually anchor as close as they can to the Changi Sailing Club, because the club rarely has any open spots. Changi is popular as it has a village atmosphere, and a fresh produce market within walking distance.

Port of Singapore has become quite the hot spot for tourists. With its skyscrapers and amazing architecture the city has become a fascination to its visitors. The Fountain of Wealth the largest fountain on the earth, has been drawing a lot of attention. The Chinese High School Clock Tower is the main landmark of the city. Marina Bay is also a beautiful panoramic view that is a wonderful sight to see.
